There will now be kids art classes held at Red Brick.
Through a series of classes, your child will learn art principles such as proportion and scale, expressive mark-making, looking at negative spaces, light and shadow, and using colour.
As well as drawing, your child will practice techniques through a variety of practical activities resulting in handmade objects to take home. These include designing their own fabric-painted tote bag, jewellery making and sewing a soft toy of their own design.
Classes are taught by Steph. Steph studied ceramics at Edinburgh College of Art and has several years experience in teaching children art and design.
Classes will run on Monday afternoons between 4 and 5pm. Class one begins 3rd Jan.
$12 a class. All materials are provided. Classes are suitable for ages 7-12.
